QUESTIONS
& ANSWERS

  • Do I need a passport or visa to travel to Costa Rica?
If you hold a US, Canadian or EU passport, Costa Rican law only requires your passport to be valid on the day of entry, but many airlines enforce a minimum of six-month validity. Double-check with your carrier before you fly. US, Canada and EU citizens do not need a visa for stays up to 180 days as tourists. For Nicaraguan citizens: if you have a valid US visa, you do not need a Costa Rican visa. However, if you do not have a US visa, you will need to obtain a visa to enter Costa Rica.
  • What's the best way to get around locally?
Uber and DiDi are available in San José and other major towns. If you're planning day trips outside the main metro areas, renting a car gives you the most flexibility.
  • What's the typical weather like at that time of the year?
April marks the tail end of Costa Rica's dry season, so you can expect mostly sunny days with very little rain. Pack breathable, light-weight fabrics and sun protection. Bring a light sweater or shawl for comfort in the afternoon/evening.
  • When is the RSVP deadline?
You'll be able to RSVP once you receive your formal invitation. The final day to submit your RSVP is February 15, 2026.
  • What is the dress code for the ceremony and reception?
    Formal attire.
  • Can I bring a plus-one to the wedding?
Your invitation will indicate exactly who's invited. Thank you for understanding!
  • Are children welcome to attend?
We respectfully request that our wedding day be an adults-only celebration. We hope you'll understand and be able to make arrangements in advance so you can relax and enjoy the festivities.
